Description

This open evergreen shrub to 10' tall bears dark purple flowers to 4" wide almost all year in mild climates. It requires heavy pruning, and should be grown in sun with little or no summer watering when established. The 'Monterey Bay' grows best with good drainage, but will tolerate relatively heavy soils if summer watering is infrequent. This plant will be severely damaged by temperatures between 20-25 degrees F.

Water Saving Tip:

Fix leaking sprinklers, valves, and pipes.

One broken spray sprinkler can waste 10 gallons per minute - or 100 gallons in a typical 10 minute watering cycle.
