Crocosmia X crocosmiiflora
Montebretia
Description
This plant is a cormous herb, and it closely resembles the gladiolus. Its summer deciduous bulb bears crenate vertical leaves to 3' tall and arching stalks of brilliant red, coral/apricot, red, red-orange, or bright yellow flowers in late spring and summer. It requires sun to part shade and little or no summer watering. This plant performs well in containers. This plant can be invasive in some areas, so use caution.

Change spray sprinklers to low-flow bubbler or drip systems. Shrubs and trees are ideal candidates for this type of irrigation because the water is applied directly to the root zones.
